Building the foundation for sustainable food, energy, and water systems through electrified catalysis and separations.
We are an interdisciplinary group dedicated to advancing sustainable catalysis and separation processes - the processes upon which our modern world relies. We examine innovative electrified processes at all scales.
Our research challenges the status quo
Our lab works on global challenges, and therefore our projects do not have clear or easy solutions. We are motivated every day by the potential impacts our work has on our energy and the environment.
Why this work matters
Beyond sustainability, we believe that the path to a bright future requires equity and global access to better food, energy, and water systems. A sustainable future is one in which chemical manufacturing, water treatment, and energy production are decarbonized, decentralized, and the long-term impacts of each approach are understood.
